I have this habit of biting my nails. I never used to care about it before but now I feel bad when I see my friends' long nails and such. I want to stop biting my NAILS... I have tried everything from nasty tasting nail polish to putting pepper on my nails but the truth is I cannot stop!!!
Please Help... I'm a girl and want to stop fast...How do I stop biting my nails?
ergh. i want to sto also!
but what my mom did was she put garlic juice on my finger nails and i stopped biting them =]
but good luck!
seriuosy arent girls supposed to have cutesy finger nails? XDHow do I stop biting my nails?
Buy pretty nail stuff, you wont want to bite pretty nails
Or
get pretty acrylic nails, spend alot of money so that you feel you wont want to waste your money by just biting them off.
Or
Get a friend or your mom to yell at you whenever you do
Or
Keep yourself occupied so you avoid the nail to mouth interaction
Or
Wear gloves
If none of these work, know that it will better in time, I just stopped biting my nails, the habit kind of ran its course.
A lot of nail-biters have really thin fingernails, which makes it harder to grow them long because you can snag them on a sweater and tear them off. You could try getting a set of acrylic or gel nails -- you'll probably find that the desire to bite your nails disappears immediately. Your hands will look better, you won't have any hangnails, and you'll be busy admiring your nails instead of chewing on them.
1. hold on to a small object, such as a stone or a ball, to keep your hands busy and out of your mouth.
2. set up a reward system. use a calendar to keep track of how many days you go without giving in to your habit, and give yourself a treat if you meet your goal
3. ask someone else who has had that habit and ask them how they stopped, they might have some unique ways
I used to bite my nails too... I picked an important event that I wanted nails for, mine was my wedding. I stopped biting them and was determined to let them grow. When they got a little longer I went and had them painted to encourage me to leave them alone. I kept leaving them alone and by the time my wedding came along they were so pretty!
I always bite mine, it's such a bad habit. I stopped for a while. If you keep nail polish on them diligently, or even just clear, it will taste bad and you won't want to bite them. Even just dipping your fingernails in nail polish remover taste terrible so you won't do it.
ok obivously you want your nail nice and long, but maybe if you cut them short there will be nothing to bite for a while and might help stop you from biting your nails. after when you know you have improved, grow them back again.
you could always put band-aids on the tips of your fingers, wear gloves, or put something that you wouldn't want in your mouth on the tips of your fingers..
wear gloves
try to paint them so they way u wont want to bite them that what i do

I am going to buy fake nails which is better stick on or glue?
which stays on more and which is easier to apply?I am going to buy fake nails which is better stick on or glue?
Glue is alot longer lasting and you will get better results, but is is also a little harder to apply than stick on. I had glue ons and stick ons Glue lasted for about 1-2 weeks stick ons only 3-4 days.I am going to buy fake nails which is better stick on or glue?
i wouldnt buy fake nails in the first place.. one.. they look and ARE fake... two.. if one of them falls... youre doomed... specially if youre in a public place.. besides they are not elegant nor classy.. they are common... and horrendous...
stick on are easier to apply, but glue is much more reliable. i'd say go with the glue!
glue! just dont get it stuck to your skin, it will rip it off, be careful!
I would say glue it holds better and longer.
DONT
fake nails are so trashy
Glue... easy to apply I hope this helps :)
glue
i wouldnt waste my money on either but glue stays on better..but not longer than a day=]how to apply

What are ways to make your nails thicker and harder?
Well calcium and zinc strengthen bones and nails and there are some nail hardeners, which essentially look like clear nail polish with a special label. I was once told by a stylist that nail filing in ONE direction only at least once a week can help to strengthen the nail. Hope that helped =].What are ways to make your nails thicker and harder?

How to get rid of my nails!?!?
I got my nails dont (gel) about a month ago and one broke last night so I started to take them off but it hurts so bad. Is there an easier way than just pulling them off? Please help. How to get rid of my nails!?!?
You can either cut them short with a special nail cutter for fake nails and then let them grow out or soak them in acetone nail polish remover. Best thing would be to go to a nail shop and they will remove them for you.
Why don't you want to get fills and keep them? Gel nails look awesome. How to get rid of my nails!?!?
Do NOT pull them off, this is taking layers of your natural nail which will leave them thin and weak. The only thing water does is soften your nail so if you were to prise off the gels after soaking in water then you'd take a few layers of your natural nail with it, (probably more than if you did it without soaking) leaving thin weak nails...thats why fake nails have a bad reputation.
Either go back to the salon to have them removed or use this method I use on clients. This is for acrylic but many so called gels are actually acrylic and its worth a go.
Get half a cotton wool ball , soak it in pure acetone and place on your nail, then wrap your thumb tip in a small piece of kitchen foil. Repeat on the remaining 4 fingers of one hand. After 10 minutes gently remove your thumb from its foil pod and buff off any bubbly gel and replace in the foil pod, do this on the other nails repeating until its all gone. You will probably need to resoak the cotton wool at some point.
Using foil stops evaporation of the acetone and also heats it slightly which speeds up the process a little, try and get a snug as fit as possible on the foil pod to minimise drips and evaporation.
You get pure acetone at the chemist behind the counter.
nope. i have them right now. you jsut have to let them fall off.
soak them in nail polish remover then peel them off.. they will be easier to peel off
nail polish remover
ya. run the under hot water while peeling them
soak in hot water
:)
Why don't you go to a professional?
yes hot water is a gud idea i too go for it........how to apply

What fruits and vegetables give you the most vitamin benefits for your hair, nails and skin?
My dermatologist recommended 2500mcg per day of biotin ( B vitamin) to help with hair, nails and skin. It is impossible to get this amount from food alone.
I got results in my fingernails in 3 months, toenails in 6 months, and my hair grew 8'; in a year (vs. 6';). Added benefit- no split ends, even though I haven't had it trimmed in 18 months, and the hairs themselves are thicker. What fruits and vegetables give you the most vitamin benefits for your hair, nails and skin?
Bee royal jelly has the highest naturally occurring vitamin B5 and also contains very high amounts of collagen. Make sure you get fresh and 100% pure. The best place to get it is at beeroyalproducts.com or beealive.com. I prefer bee royal because the other place pushes their religious beliefs on their customers. It comes frozen and keep it in the fridge to maintain freshness.

Removing smell of garlic on hands/nails?
Hi, I cook a lot and use fresh garlic in a lot of recipes. Sometimes, no matter how many times I wash my hands, the smell of garlic stays on them. How to remove?Removing smell of garlic on hands/nails?
Rub lemon.Removing smell of garlic on hands/nails?
I learned an old cook's trick in the Army. Run warm water in the kitchen sink. If you have a stainless steel sink, wet your hands and rub them continuously against the inside of the sink. Something about the stainless steel counteracts with the smell and takes it away. Then wash your hands with regular soap.
I have a stainless soap shaped thing which is great for that, I got it from one of those rubbish catalogues that drop through the letter box
Wash your hands with soap and cold (not warm or hot ) water.
If it still smells rub your hands in a stainless steel (knife or spoon) then wash it again with cold water.
stainless steel works to remove the smell.
Try lemon juice it works pretty good to remove the odor from your hands.
luv garlic, your right about the smell. lemon juice works for me.
Use lemon.
you should rub your hands on other people, so they think they smell and they wont know your the stinky garlic man!!
I cook with fresh garlic like you do. Rubbing your fingers on stainless steel works to take the smell off. I have bought a scent remover which is stainless steel in the shape of a bar of soap, for very inexpensively, that I keep on the window ledge above my kitchen sink. But rubbing your fingers on any stainless steel works as well. Or you could buy those disposable food handling gloves which they sell in grocery stores now and use those when you handle garlic.
Stainless steel. I rub hands over my kitchen taps to get rid of the smell.
rub yours hands with cut sides of a fresh lemon this doesnt get it all off at first ....do it a few times wash in between. Ive also heard celery can help too this one I have NOT tried but its worth a shot. You can also try lemon soap CO Bigelow makes a great lemon hand soap bath and body works sells it or you can ge tit at CO's web site I keep this at my kitchen sink.

How can I stop biting my nails?
I'm getting really annoyed that I bite my nails! How can I stop? How can I stop biting my nails?
i use to bite my nails as well.
here as a few methods so you stop biting them:
1. Confront your problem. Get a camera and take some pictures of your bitten fingernails. Examine your nails, and list their problems.
2. Visualize yourself with healthy nails, and how great they will look.
3. Pick at least one nail to ';protect'; at a time.
* After a few days, an unbitten nail will flourish and reward you. Do not bite it. If you must, bite one of the 'unprotected' ones.
* Once you have grown your unbitten nail for a while, start protecting another one. And another.
4. Record your progress in a notebook or photo album. Take ';before and after'; photos of your nails and put them in the book to keep you motivated. Recognizing that it usually takes three weeks to grow nails half a centimeter, chart out in the book how long you want your nails to be by a certain date.
5. Eat calcium- and magnesium- rich foods so that your nails will repair and grow well. Not only that, but most of the reason that the human body wants to bite nails is the lack of calcium and magnesium in the body and the body needs that material back.
6. Push your cuticles back. Many nail-biters do not have ';moons'; on the base of their fingernails because their cuticles have not been pushed back. To do this, gently push your cuticles towards your finger to reveal more of your nail. This is easier to do after a shower when your hands and nails are wet. This makes the nail appear longer, and it gives a more attractive shape, which might also be a motivation to stop biting.
7. Find a habit to take the place of nail biting. Whenever you have the urge to bite, do that instead. Some people like to drum their fingers, or just stare at their hands. Just make sure it's not a bad habit; choose a helpful one or one that doesn't really matter either way. 'Bitrex' is a chemical that is put in products to make them taste foul, obtained from your local pharmacy. It's included in nibble inhibitors that you paint on to your nails. Carry some with you at all times. Apply your nasty solution several times a day. If you get used to the taste, choose another brand.
8. Distract your mouth. Eat carrot sticks to keep you busy. Keep a stick of gum handy for those weak moments.
9.
No more idle hands..
No more idle hands..
Distract your hands by taking up a hobby.
* A hobby to distract your hands might be making models or maintaining your house, knitting or crochet, running or other outside pursuits, or even nail care and decoration!
* For those whose nail biting is obsessive/compulsive it may help to approach your hobby obsessively.
10. Cover your nails. For females, fit artificial nails. They can really help. For guys, polish them and apply some shine/growth promoter or petroleum jelly. It's harder to bite nails that are looking great!
* Keep gloves in your back pocket and wear them when you want to bite.
* Put little pieces of tape on the ends of your fingers, to remind yourself how destructive biting is.
11. If you have any surplus growth, cut your nails back. Keep clippers with you at all times. You can't bite if there's nothing there!
12. Speaking about your nails will help to focus your mind on your goals. Ask for help from your partner(s). Keep talking about your goals.
* Show off your improved nails, and get much-needed encouragement and praise from your peers.
13. Be proud of your improving nails. They will shine with beauty.
14. Go for a manicure, and chat with the manicurist about having great nails.
* If you are male and you go in for a manicure and anyone gives you grief for not being manly, just say you are taking radical steps, whatever it takes. That should be manly enough for anyone.
15. Keep looking after your nails, with cuticle oil, shine and growth promoter, and no biting! How can I stop biting my nails?
Just dont do it anymore. lol
I have the same problem but what I started doing is keeping my nails polished at all times and when I start to bite them i remind myself that i don't want to ruin my manicure and I have stopped it and even when they aren't polished now I don't think about biting them because the habit is gone.
And another thing, I usually bite my nails when im nervous so I put gum in my mouth and chew that instead if i know that i'm gonna be in a nerve wrecking situation.
Keep them nicely manicured, so that you feel good about them.
If you try to use aversion therapy (feeling bad to avoid a bad habit), it will hurt your self-esteem and won't be effective. (If you are REALLy motivated, aversion will cause you to create another bad habit.)
There is this cream stuff that you put on it that tastes DISGUSTING. You'll be quitting in no time. Check your local pharmacy.
http://www.stopbitingnails.com/
Or buy it online, but I assure you it would be cheaper in the pharmacy.
i've asked myself the same question a hundred thousand times but no matter what devious scheme i come up with to rid myself of the habit, i am unable to control my habit. now i've stopped trying to get rid of the habit and just accept it as part of who i am.
Cut them very, very short - to the point where there's nothing for your teeth to bite down on. Keep them cut short consistently. It's really the easiest way to stop.
dip them in oil or something nasty?

How do i make my nails grow faster?
my nail always seem to split and never seems to grow. How do i make my nails grow faster?
Eat healthy with plenty of protein and carrots and apples! And also, moisturizing nails and cuticles with an oil or lotion, and pushing back cuticles daily helps. There are also clear nail polishes that help strengthen nails. How do i make my nails grow faster?
the consumption of vitamin ';e'; helps on it...my mom started to consume it and it did work..her only problem is that she chews them once they are long..
i wish i knew - my nails are exactly the same :(
Prenatal vitamins ...they will do wonders for your hair, nails and skin....
if they split and seem brittle it's because your not getting enough of a certain vitamin or nutrient from your diet
Wait.
The hair and nail vitamins. They work great!!!!
Don't cut
buy a good quality multivitamin powder to take daily and eat better food.
use a coat of clear polish daily. also, trim them with nial clippers and use an emory board. this will help them grow faster and keep them well maintained
I would file them weekly--well depending on how often they split. I wouldnt clip them because the nail can get a little uneven.
apply nail polish that contain some sort of vitamins to keep them sturdy %26amp; help them grow healthier.
My nails seems to grow fast in water..I dont know about yours.
Maybe it'll work for you.
If all else fails--go to a salon %26amp; get a manicure! :D
They know some pretty cute designs!
i naturally have strong and long nails but i heard dipping your nails into bleach water helps, also putting on nail stregthener from stores like Sallys or Walmart, taking fish oil caplets, etc.

hard as nails, i use it, it works.I have always had false nails for years i would now like to grow my own Help product to use to strengthen?
You can still get the acrylic on your natural nails without the tips.
None of those nail hardeners seem to work for me. My natural nails grow pretty fast, but they break very easily. Even with the nail hardeners. Acrylic is the only thing that seems to keep my nails from breaking.
Take gelatin capsules every day. They are a good source of protein and also help with bones ,hair, etc. They are very inexpensive at the drugstore.
I also had fake nails for years and used hard as nail and it worked great...I was very happy. It did take a while but my nails were really bad.
I agree w/ the above, Hard as Nails is great!how to apply

Best way to cut babies nails?
My son is now 10 weeks old and i use to just file his nails down while he was asleep but now he wakes each time i try and i find filing them just is making them sharper. I am at the point that he has hand socks on at night to prevent him from scratching his face. What worked best for you and your baby? Any tips are appreciated.Best way to cut babies nails?
I use the baby clippers with the nice rubber handles. Not handles, but you know they have the nice rubbers around the entire thing for better grip. I love them, they're tiny and shaped like their nails so you cant miss!
I do it while he's awake. He's gotten used to it. I talk to him the entire time and he looks at my face for the most part, making it easy for me.
Also when he was around that age, my husband or someone else used to hold him while I cut them. Hes 4 months now
After im done clipping his nail I run a nail file really quick to make sure they're not sharp. I used to file them instead of cutting them but they grow to much faster that wayBest way to cut babies nails?
I love(d) using the manicure scissors (regular adult style....the ones w/ the curved blades) for my children's nails. A nurse at the hospital gave me the idea, and it's worked great for all three of my kids. They are thin enough to get ';under'; the nail, they are quick, and they don't bend the nail like I found happened with the baby nail clippers. They are also way more accurate, and don't leave sharp edges like the clippers can. Good luck!
For baby #1, I used to clip while nursing. For baby #2 (too big for me to maneouver like that) I put in her bouncy seat and sang to her while clipping. Now she is 10 months, I play trancey music (like Enya or chanting) on my computer and turn on the visualizations, she just stares and I can clip without fighting.
I don't generally let my babies watch video or tv, but I can live with 5 minutes once a week.
i use baby nail clippers. People make it seem like you will always cut their fingers so i was scared to do it but it just got so hard with the nail files and stuff so i got them. And if you just wait til they are relaxed or asleep on you it is pretty easy you just have to be patient cause they can squirm away and just be careful it is not that bad
i use baby nail cutters. it is hard to do and i have accidentally cut her once. we wait until she falls asleep at night cause that is when she sleeps the deepest. either my partner or i will hold her hand and her still and the other person will cut them. i was told that you can also just bite them off while feeding or just pick them off. i didn't like the unevenness of doing it that way.
Most people will say file bite or clip them when they're asleep but i jus use baby clippers when my son is awake... And hold his hand kinda tight not too tight... he's gotten used to it now and i have no problems clipping them with regular baby clippers :) while he's awake.
he used to cry a little but not anymore.
I would bite them on my babies at that age. Their nails are still soft, and I felt like it was safer than sharp clippers (they're so wiggly at that age).
Sounds weird, but it worked. I was able to use baby clippers on them starting around 6 months old.
Do it fast! For a while, I had good luck riding in the back seat of the car with her when she'd nod off. I kept the clippers there in the car. Now, at 6 months, I just have to go for it!
i used clippers the other day and accidentally hurt her. im not doing it anymore. my mom says bite them, but thats insanely disgusting.
I use the little scissors that come in the first aid kit. There not sharp at all.
Do it while he's on the boob. And do it fast. It's hard to not nick them once in a while though :(
bite them
i would get the kidz slip grip clippers from walmart that was a good ?
I started clipping my daughters nails around your sons age, I use the American Red Cross Deluxe Nail Clipper which I got from toys r us go to this site to see pic http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2792
I think they are great! My daughter will be one soon and I clip her nails just about every other day, I find it easier to do just after she feel asleep nursing she is usually out of it, if she does wake up I just nurse her again and she falls right back to sleep. Also if you try doing it right after a bath the nails are softer. I can not trim her nails unless she is asleep or she just tries to grab the clippers. Try to use those clippers it makes it alot easier. Good Luck

Would it be weird if I had a different color nailpolish on my nails, and a different color on my toes?

It's really the easiest way to stop.
dip them in oil or something nasty?
i use to bite my nails as well.
here as a few methods so you stop biting them:
If you must, bite one of the 'unprotected' ones.

the consumption of vitamin ';e'; helps on it...my mom started to consume it and it did work..her only problem is that she chews them once they are long..

Prenatal vitamins ...they will do wonders for your hair, nails and skin....
if they split and seem brittle it's because your not getting enough of a certain vitamin or nutrient from your diet
Wait.
The hair and nail vitamins. They work great!!!!

buy a good quality multivitamin powder to take daily and eat better food.
use a coat of clear polish daily. also, trim them with nial clippers and use an emory board. this will help them grow faster and keep them well maintained
I would file them weekly--well depending on how often they split. I wouldnt clip them because the nail can get a little uneven.
apply nail polish that contain some sort of vitamins to keep them sturdy %26amp; help them grow healthier.

How can I make my Nails grow?
How can I make my nails grow longer fast. Maybe in 2 weeks time. How can I make my Nails grow?
hair skin %26amp; nail vitamins by Finest Natural Organics they sell them at walgreen for fifteen bucks but its worth it!How can I make my Nails grow?
Two weeks is pushing it but the very best thing for nails and hair is coconut oil - its brilliant!
So take the tablets - 2 in the morning and evening,
but also buy an oil - any oil will do even oilve oil that you rub into your nail base every time you get a chance... massaging the nail base will help simulate growth (nail bitters when they stop tend to have nails that grow quicker, as they are stimulating them all the time by nibbling - but dont nibble!)
I would suggest when you watch tv, rub for about two minutes into each nail base - it does help :)
Good Luck
It is not possible to make your nails grow faster - so don't waste your time and money on any of the pills, potions, or lotions that claim to be able to do it.
That said, eat for good nutrition, get enough sleep, keep your hands out of harsh chemicals, use a quality hand lotion if your hands are dry - hey, do all the things your mom has been trying to get you to do for years!!
either take vitamins
or go to the nail shop and tail the you want crystal on ur regular nail no addition to it just Regulus nail
You can by nail lightener nail polish at the Gregoire store.
eat other peoples nails i hear that works, also the bunghole method works 2

I know you can change the color of a hydranga with rusty nails, will this technic work with lilacs?
In my opinion, no because the Lilac is not a lover of ironI know you can change the color of a hydranga with rusty nails, will this technic work with lilacs?
Yep you are right about the nails, its the iron, aluminium will do the same so I believe! Lilacs, well not heard of this technic working, but try it, my experience of Wisteria and soil types certainly change the colour of flowers or rectified it, so why not of other plants.
Let us all know of your results, if anyone would like to,know of my Wisteria experience, contact please, this is an interesting question that needs some real research!I know you can change the color of a hydranga with rusty nails, will this technic work with lilacs?
Rusty nails, are you kidding me? Who would apply rusty nails to the garden to change a plants flower color. This is the 21st century people, they have fertilizers in the store that will achieve this!!!
Rusty nails....
No, this technique will not work for lilacs. They are the color that they are.
No!!!! If the nail is copper, it will kill the lilac bush. Copper is used in root killers!!!
No I don't believe it will. But why not give it try, it won't cost anything to find out for sure

I think squared looks really cute but just not super long and really squared. They should just be normal length and a little rounded on the corners. What do you prefer, squared nails or rounded ones?
Rounded, square looks abnormal to me.
Rounded is cute though.

rounded.
To me, square seems so fake and it's annoying to deal with.
I just like simple, not long, but not too short, rounded nails. To me it looks the nicest, cleanest, and simplest :)
I looove pointy tips.
People cringe at the thought of it, but if you have the right colour and style, they look fab!
Plus they make your fingers look long and slender.
squared looks way cuter..well that's my opinion,, if i could wear nails at work i would just the natural french tip with the cute rhinestone on each thumb!! 鈾?it!
Definitely squared.
Short and rounded. They look more natural and ';clean';.

Short and rounded. Though I may be biased because my nails have to be short for work.

What utter garbage by the chosen answer.
While this was superficially the reckless trading of bankers, I believe this to have been the penultimate phase of a plan that was effected when the Blair government was elected.
Since the election of Blair, supporters of the New World Order have been infiltrated into all levels of National and Local government, Quangos and major public intuitions such as Education and the NHS.
Under the guise of multiculturalism and diversity, existing entities and procedures have been dismantled to be replaced by the ineffective, inefficient and corrupt. This has set the stage for the current financial crisis and coming depression which will be used as justification for UK entry into the Euro and the surrender of our remaining few freedoms to Brussels. Nation states are being destroyed to facilitate the implementation of the New World Order's ultimate goal, sIngle world government.
Gordon Brown was a complete novice when he was made Chancellor but thought he knew it all. He immediately gave the Banks the freedom to operate without any restrictions. That was the start of all this. Credit was offered to anybody who could sign a piece of paper.
No security required. I saw people with streams of credit cards spending amounts they could not possibly pay back. For ten years this went on and although Brown was warned about the danger he did nothing to stem the flow. No credit restrictions as in the past. Just free range borrowing. That was the start and that was the cause. In my opinion the greed of the financial world spread from here to the USA not the other way round. Gordon says he has saved the world. He has not he has smashed the world economy via the wrecking of the UK
margaret thatcher, pure and simple, she closed all the main businesses in the uk, she sold our oil to the russians, and she came up with poll tax, all three of these things incited thousands and thousands of people to riot in the uk, she did so much more than just these.

How do i stop my nails from breaking?
i use Sally Hansen 'Hard as Nails' nail polish and remove/reapply every few days. If I don't use this my nails break easily, but they grow a lot quicker and stay stronger with it. It's the clear (or tinted) treatment, not the coloreed polish. How do i stop my nails from breaking?

How do i make my nails stronger??
My fingernails keep peeling. Layers come off... It's so bad. How can i stop them from peeling??How do i make my nails stronger??
my friend had weak nails too and than she started using
'; nail hardner.'; dsnt really matter what brand. it does exactly what its called.
really helps with harding nails.
you should be able to get it from your local pharmacy. How do i make my nails stronger??
when you file your nails, make sure you do it in the same direction, because if you go back and forth it creates cracks in the nail. filing them one way on each finger helps to keep them sealed, so they won't peel as easily.
i also heard that prenatal pills do wonders for nails and hair, i haven't taken them before but that's what my friends who have had kids told me happens after they took them.
cut them every now and then

Nutra Nail makes many good products that make your nails stronger.
I do alot of manicures while I am on the Internet. It helps me to pass the time wisely when I am waiting for files to load, etc.
I have had good experiences with Nutra Nail products.
Stop hanging from the ceiling! And take gelatin and chondroitin. And no more burying things in the yard!

Any good ideas for acryllic nails?
This summer im getting acryllic tips any good ideas?Any good ideas for acryllic nails?
i got acryllic nails and instead of getting the white tips. i got hot pink!!!
so, for the summer try a bright color instead of just ordinary white!Any good ideas for acryllic nails?
well, whats ';in'; around here is instead of getting your tips painted white for a french manicure, get them painted a color. like pink. so substitute the white tips with pink tips. or even orange. a nice bright summer color...trust me it looks GREAT.
i'm gonna get acrylic tips too, i think that a French manicure or bright fruity colors will look good , stay away from boring colors and dark colors- those are a drag and summer is about fun, so your nails should reflect the season. good luck!!!
Yeah, don't get them. They're horrible...plus, they ruin your natural nails.
well the typical white french tips are always never a wrong way to go, but since this season's fashion is all about the metalics, bright colors, and yellow, id try going into those colors. my opinion, i think gold tips would be gorgeous. its getting into the metalic feel but is just a touch instead of going all out with a gold or metallic mini dress. for the yellow, lemon yellow is funky and cool but its more of the buttery shades now. pastels are great too.
hope this helps!
well what i like to do in the summer is get regular white tips with an airbrush on the ring finger..i usually get palm trees!
