You can either cut them short with a special nail cutter for fake nails and then let them grow out or soak them in acetone nail polish remover. Best thing would be to go to a nail shop and they will remove them for you.
Why don't you want to get fills and keep them? Gel nails look awesome. How to get rid of my nails!?!?
Do NOT pull them off, this is taking layers of your natural nail which will leave them thin and weak. The only thing water does is soften your nail so if you were to prise off the gels after soaking in water then you'd take a few layers of your natural nail with it, (probably more than if you did it without soaking) leaving thin weak nails...thats why fake nails have a bad reputation.
Either go back to the salon to have them removed or use this method I use on clients. This is for acrylic but many so called gels are actually acrylic and its worth a go.
Get half a cotton wool ball , soak it in pure acetone and place on your nail, then wrap your thumb tip in a small piece of kitchen foil. Repeat on the remaining 4 fingers of one hand. After 10 minutes gently remove your thumb from its foil pod and buff off any bubbly gel and replace in the foil pod, do this on the other nails repeating until its all gone. You will probably need to resoak the cotton wool at some point.
Using foil stops evaporation of the acetone and also heats it slightly which speeds up the process a little, try and get a snug as fit as possible on the foil pod to minimise drips and evaporation.
You get pure acetone at the chemist behind the counter.
nope. i have them right now. you jsut have to let them fall off.
soak them in nail polish remover then peel them off.. they will be easier to peel off
